Quest Lantern
Questions and answers
Short answers to the things people ask us most.
Is this a gambling or betting site?
No. Quest Lantern reviews role-playing and adventure video games and nothing else. There is no betting, no casino-style play, no virtual currency and no prizes, and we have no connection with gambling operators.
Can I play the games here?
No. We only write about the games. To play, buy the game from an official store such as the PlayStation Store, Nintendo eShop, Microsoft Store or a PC store, using the link in each review.
Do you earn money when I click a link?
No. We do not use affiliate links and nobody pays for a place or a score. The links are plain links to official pages.
Why only twelve games?
Twelve covers the main kinds of big adventure, from tactical party games and open worlds to hard action and colourful turn-based journeys, and it is small enough to keep every review up to date.
What does 'costs after you buy it' mean?
It tells you whether a game asks for more money after the first purchase: paid expansions, soundtracks, cosmetic packs, or an online membership on your console. None of the games we picked sells random rewards.
Are these games suitable for children?
Many are, but check the PEGI label on the store page for your platform, because labels can differ between editions. Our healthy play page has advice on time and spending limits.
How does the planner work?
Choose a start time and a length. The Campfire timer shows eye breaks, a ten-minute warning and a point to save and stop. It runs entirely in your browser and stores nothing.
How can I suggest a game or report a mistake?
Use the contact page or email us. We read every message and correct mistakes quickly.
These games are long. How do I stop?
Every review lists a good place to stop, usually a camp, a save point or the end of a quest. Our Campfire timer on the home page helps you plan a session with breaks and a clear end.
