What you do

Build a party, combine fire, oil, water and electricity in turn-based battles, and solve quests with talk, theft or force.

Who it suits

Tactics fans and groups of friends who want to play a big RPG together.

01The first hours

You start as a prisoner on a ship bound for an island fortress. Within hours you are combining spells to set the battlefield on fire, then putting it out with rain.

02Settling in

The middle opens into large maps with tough battles and many quests. Co-op with friends is a highlight: everyone can wander off and cause trouble.

03The long road

It is a long game with a demanding late stage. Battles make natural session lengths, and saving is free whenever you are not in combat.

Why it works

  • Brilliant elemental tactics
  • Great co-op for up to four
  • Huge freedom in quests

Watch out for

  • Hard on newcomers
  • Inventory management gets messy
